Artist Details: ROSENDO PÉREZ PINACHO

Rosendo Pérez Pinacho, was born in Candelaria Loxicha Pochutla Oaxaca in 1972. He studied at the School of Fine Arts of the Benito Juárez Autonomous University of Oaxaca under the tutelage of maestro Shinzaburo Takeda. He has found his plastic references in the work of Mexican and European masters, which he has studied carefully on visits to museums and trips abroad.

Like other Oaxacans, his thematic referent has been shaped by his land, the customs, and legends that, as observed, have a significant weight that unfolds into characteristic images, which refer to that way of thinking that unites man with nature and animals. To this are added experiences of childhood walks and games, concerns, and reflections. His work will combine organic elements and the personal symbology that he transmits to the forms in an argument posed with balance. He has carried out multiple collective and individual exhibitions that have been held in galleries and museums in Mexico, Japan, the United States, Argentina, and Europe.
